2019 has come and gone which means one thing: the annual State of the City Address is right around the corner. Join us Monday, January 27, from 5-7:30 pm at the Municipal Services Center to recap highlights from 2019 and hear about exciting new projects moving forward in 2020.
The evening begins with the Community Fair, featuring exhibits from various civic organizations and City departments, and providing an opportunity for residents to meet with community leaders and staff during one convenient forum, while enjoying light refreshments.
The formal Address begins at 6:30 pm, and features the Upper Arlington High School Vocal Music group, who will treat attendees to a glimpse of their upcoming February production of Cinderella. The Address will touch on 2019 highlights–such as completion of the Arts & Culture Master Plan, Tree of Life verdict and unprecedented construction in the community–that continue to build on Upper Arlington’s strong foundation. The Address will also focus on upcoming projects that will help define our new century including the Lane Avenue Planning Study, Northam Park Upgrades and the Community Center Feasibility Task Force to name a few. And it wouldn’t be State of the City without the announcements of the 2019 Community Award winners. Last but not least, City Manager Steve Schoeny will unveil the new City Flag.
We hope you will join us Monday, January 27 for our State of the City Address to reflect on past accomplishments that have built a strong foundation for our community and to learn about projects in 2020 that will help define the future of Upper Arlington. Click here for additional details.
