Periodically, the City has openings on Boards and Commissions that serve the community. Public service is voluntary, affording participants the opportunity to help shape their community in areas that interest them. Upper Arlington City Council invites interested residents to donate their time and expertise to the community by serving on a City Board or Commission, with applications currently being accepted for the following entity:
- Board of Zoning and Planning – The Board of Zoning and Planning (BZAP) is comprised of seven members. The board meets the first (work session) and third (regular meeting) Mondays of each month to hear and decide on conditional uses, special exceptions and interpretation of the City’s zoning code. Additionally, the board grants conditional permits, non-conforming uses, temporary structures and uses, hears/decides appeals, and grants variances. Each member serves a three-year term. The current vacancy is for an unexpired term which ends February 28, 2020. Application deadline: Monday, October 8.
