June 3, 2020 Community Update

11:30 am: Please be advised that we anticipate some traffic delays today associated with the Black Lives Matter Solidarity March. The March is scheduled to begin at Noon from Kingsdale, head south on Tremont Road and then Arlington Avenue to the Mallway, then head east on Waltham Road to Northwest Boulevard, and head north back to Kingsdale. It is expected to last a minimum of two hours, possibly up to three hours. Traffic on Lane Avenue in particular will be impacted. We recommend that westbound traffic take Kenny Road north to Fishinger Road, and eastbound traffic to either head north on Riverside Drive to Fishinger or south to 5th Avenue (message boards will be posted at both ends of Lane Avenue). We appreciate your patience today! For information about the March, click this link: //www.facebook.com/events/577637562885893/)

9:30 am: We have been made aware that there will be some groups gathering in Upper Arlington today, June 3 to participate in demonstrations. One is a Black Lives Matter Solidarity March that begins at Noon from Kingsdale (//www.facebook.com/events/577637562885893/). A second is part of a traveling demonstration through various suburbs, beginning at approximately 5 pm at Lane Avenue and North Star Road (//www.facebook.com/events/s/peaceful-blm-traveling-protest/903064033490497/). These activities are expected to be conducted in a peaceful manner, and our safety personnel will be ready to provide traffic assistance.
