City offices are closed for the following eleven holidays in 2023

• Memorial Day – Monday, May 29
• Juneteenth – Monday, June 19
• Independence Day – Tuesday, July 4
• Labor Day – Monday, September 4
• Veterans Day – (observance) – Friday, November 10
• Thanksgiving Day – Thursday, November 23
• Christmas Day Monday, December 25
• New Year’s Day – Monday, January 1, 2024

2023 Holiday Collection Delays

Local Waste Services will observe some but not all of the City’s holidays each year, including: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. For more information or call 614-583-5370.

The following City holidays delay solid waste collection by one day, with normal service resuming the following week (if the holiday falls on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, there is no collection delay):

• New Year’s Day (Sunday 1/1/23 – No delays)
• Memorial Day (Monday 5/29/23 – All zones delayed)
• Independence Day (Tuesday 7/4/23 – Tuesday-Thursday zones delayed)
• Labor Day (Monday 9/4/23 – All zones delayed)
• Thanksgiving Day (Thursday 11/23/23 – Thursday collection delayed)
• Christmas Day (Monday 12/25/23 – All zones delayed)
• New Year’s Day (Monday 1/1/24 – All zones delayed)

* If the holiday falls on or before your collection day, service is delayed one day, that week only.
* If the holiday falls on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, there is no collection delay.
