Leadership UA is hosting a special panel discussion entitled “A Call to Public Service,” scheduled for the evening of Thursday, May 27, 2021.
If you are considering running for a seat on Upper Arlington City Council, the Upper Arlington Board of Education, or some other public office, learn first-hand from some of the community members that have gone before you. Current and former UA elected officials will provide insight on their experiences both running for and serving on an elected public body. As part of the discussion, they will share:
- How to run for office
- How to organize volunteers and raise money for an election campaign
- Insight into the role of the entity on which they have served and what to expect as a member of an elected body
The panelists will be meeting in person, however attendees are asked to tune in virtually. The discussion will be live streamed on the City’s website and on Leadership UA’s Facebook page.
Questions for the panelists are being accepted now through 4 pm on Thursday, May 27. Please submit your questions to [email protected].
