The City of Upper Arlington is working with the Upper Arlington School District on appropriate adjustments to traffic patterns around Wickliffe Progressive Elementary School in response to the elementary school construction project. As you probably already know, construction on the new Wickliffe Elementary School has begun and is scheduled for completion by the fall of 2020. Once the new school is complete, the old Wickliffe school will serve as transitional space for Windermere students for the 2020-2021 school year, while a new Windermere Elementary School is constructed. This will greatly increase the volume of drop-off and pick-up traffic in the area.
In an effort to ease the traffic challenges during construction, we are making the following traffic pattern changes that will remain in effect throughout construction. Please see the map for additional clarification:
- Wickliffe Road: Becomes One-Way (Eastbound) between Cimmaron Rd and Avalon Rd
- Eastcleft Drive: Becomes One-Way (Westbound) between Cimmaron Rd and Avalon Rd
- Cimmaron Road: Become One-Way (Northbound) between Eastcleft Dr and Wickliffe Rd
The above traffic pattern changes will be implemented throughout the week of July 22, 2019. Please be alert during these changes and use caution.
Throughout this multi-year construction project, the Engineering Division will continue to monitor traffic on all streets in the immediate area surrounding the elementary school. Additional traffic pattern adjustments may be needed during this timeframe to accommodate building progression, and we will be sure to notify you in advance should this be necessary.
If you have any questions or concerns while this work is conducted, please contact the Engineering Division, at 614-583-5360, or by emailing email@example.com.
