The Community Development Department has received an updated Development Plan from Ohio State Bank for a commercial building renovation proposed for the Northeast corner of Lane Avenue and Northwest Boulevard. The proposal would be comprised of renovating the existing, one-story commercial structure located at 1776 West Lane Avenue and the demolition of an existing two-story residence located at 2508 Northwest Boulevard. The one-story detached garage structure located at 2508 Northwest Boulevard is proposed to remain with updated complimentary exterior finishes to match the primary commercial structure at 1776 West Lane Avenue. The intended use for the existing commercial structure is a community banking center with a proposed lawn/green space for potential community engagement and art. The proposed Development Plan is scheduled for review by the Board of Zoning and Planning on the following dates:
- Work Session: 6 pm, Monday, January 6 – Lower Level Meeting Room, Municipal Services Center, 3600 Tremont Road. Please note, public testimony is not typically accepted at work sessions. The developer is hosting an open house on this proposed project immediately following the Work Session.
- BZAP Meeting: 6 pm, Tuesday, January 21 – Lower Level Meeting Room, Municipal Services Center, 3600 Tremont Road. The developer has requested that this proposal be withdrawn from the agenda.
- BZAP Session: 6 pm, Monday, March 2 –Council Chamber, Municipal Services Center, 3600 Tremont Road. The developer has submitted an updated proposal.
