The Columbus Marathon Passes Through UA Streets October 20
Another spectacular showing is expected as fans, volunteers and donors turn out to watch an impressive 12,000 full and half-marathon runner breeze through Central Ohio on the morning of Sunday, October 20 for the annual Columbus Marathon.
For those looking to cheer on this year’s participants, the marathon traces a route through a portion of Upper Arlington. Runners will enter the community at the bike path that feeds onto North Star Road from Woody Hayes Drive. They will head west on Guilford Road, then south on Coventry Road to King Avenue before heading east and back into Columbus.
This segment makes up miles 18.5 through 20, with the fastest of runners estimated to come through UA at approximately 9 am. Join over 100,000 fans around Columbus by watching the runners and cheering for your friends and neighbors!
Watch for parking and traffic restrictions in the area that morning too:
Complete Street Closures
- North Star Road will be closed between Essex Road and Grenoble Road
- Guilford Road will be closed to traffic from North Star Road to Coventry Road
- Coventry Road will be closed to traffic between Guilford Road and King Avenue
- King Avenue will be closed to traffic between Cambridge Boulevard and Andover Road
Temporary No Parking
- Guilford Road between North Star Road and North Mallway
- Coventry Road between Baldridge Road and King Avenue
- King Avenue between Cambridge Boulevard and Andover Road
- Cambridge Boulevard between King Avenue and Chelsea Road
