Upper Arlington Officers Graduate from Leadership Academy

The Upper Arlington Police Division is proud of Lieutenant Jason Messer and Lieutenant Branden Staiger who successfully completed the Certified Law Enforcement Executive (CLEE) program. After 14 months of intensive coursework, they were among 26 graduates honored at a ceremony at the Ohio State Highway Patrol Training Academy on January 31, 2025.

CLEE, co-sponsored by the Law Enforcement Foundation, Inc. and the Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police, is one of the most respected leadership programs for law enforcement professionals in the United States. It covers key areas such as strategic planning, ethics, community relations, and organizational risk management. Thanks to a generous grant from the Ohio Department of Public Safety, this year’s program helped officers sharpen their leadership skills and advance their careers.

Competition of the CLEE program is a big achievement and shows dedication to growing as leaders in law enforcement. With the new skills and insights gained through this program, Lt. Messer and Lt. Staiger will continue to make a positive impact on public safety and strengthen their connection with the Upper Arlington community.
