Annual Turkey Trot Begins at Shops on Lane Avenue
The Annual Columbus Turkey Trot is back for its 39th year on the morning of Thursday, November 28, offering runners a five-mile route, and walkers a 2.8-mile option, and benefitting the Easter Seals of Central Ohio and Southeast Ohio.
With the run beginning at the Shops on Lane Avenue, UA Police will have the following traffic restrictions in place from 8 am-Noon to ensure the orderly flow of traffic and to ensure safety for all involved:
- Lane Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Northwest Boulevard and the City limits, to the east of North Star Road. Access will be permitted to parking areas around the Lane Avenue Shopping Center. Columbus Police will be closing Lane Avenue from UA’s borders for eastbound traffic.
- North Star Road will be closed to through traffic from Berkshire Road to College Hill Drive.
- Brandon Road, Chester Road, Westmont Boulevard, Wellesley Drive, Beaumont Road and Vassar Place will all be closed at Lane Avenue.
A series of temporary parking restrictions will also be in place on the fire hydrant side of the following streets:
- Ashdowne Road, from North Star to Beaumont
- Berkshire Road, from North Star to Northwest
- Cardiff Road, from North Star to Brandon
- Doone Road, from North Star to Brandon
- Harford Road, from Berkshire to Essex
- Beaumont Road, from Ashdowne to Essex
- Brandon Road, from W. Lane to Doone
- Vassar Place, from Osborn to College Hill
- College Hill Drive, from North Star to Mt. Holyoke
- Westminster Drive, from North Star to Mt. Holyoke
