Community Relations Committee UA Welcome Series

Over the past year, the Community Relations Committee (CRC) has been expanding its programming and identifying existing opportunities for helping to advance UA as a welcoming community for all who live here, work here or for those who are just visiting our community.

UA Welcome Series
The CRC Welcome Series was launched earlier this fall, bringing together various community groups to include a new resident welcoming component in their respective programming. In 2023, Equal UA hosted a welcome booth at one of the weekly Farmers Markets in late August, the UA Civic Association’s Neighbors Night Out event in September featured several components designed to welcome and celebrate newer UA residents, and the Upper Arlington Historical Society’s UA History 101 event, provided insight on the community’s history and some of the prominent markers that set us apart from other communities.

Next in the series is a presentation hosted by the City’s Police Division:

UA Police & Community Relations Introduction for New Residents & Immigrants
6 pm, Thursday, November 30

Lower Level Meeting Room
Municipal Services Center, 3600 Tremont Road
UA Police | upperarlingtonoh.gov
Our community relations officers in the Police Division are planning to host one of their introductory sessions, tailored to new or newer residents and immigrants. Recognizing that an unplanned encounter with a police officer can be an intimidating experience for anyone, this program will help attendees better understand the methodology and goals that guide officers in their interactions with community members.

We hope you can join us!
