Residents near the Kingsdale Shopping Center may notice increased construction activity during the overnight hours of May 13-17, as a contractor works to tie-in a sanitary pipe on Northwest Boulevard. Crews will be working at the site of the new parking deck, which is adjacent to the Bob Crane Community Center and Giant Eagle Market District, from 8 pm to 7 am to complete this phase of the project.

The work will involve asphalt excavation and the installation of a new pipe to connect to the existing sewer line. At the end of each shift, road plates will be placed over the open excavation area to ensure the safety for motorists and pedestrians. The final stage of the project will be patching the asphalt once all sewer inspections have been completed.

To minimize disruption to residents, temporary lighting will be brought in and directed away from residential areas. The contractor will also take all necessary measures to minimize construction noise during the nighttime hours.

Digital signage will be placed in the area to notify residents of the construction work and schedule. Residents are encouraged to use caution when driving through the area and to follow any posted signs or instructions from construction crews.
