Fishinger Road Reconstruction Project to Close Several Residential Streets
The next phase of the Fishinger Road reconstruction project is set to begin, impacting several residential streets until early August. The project, which involves removing the roadway base on the south side of Fishinger Road, will begin near Mountview Road and move westward. This phase is part of ongoing efforts to stabilize the road and improve infrastructure.
Street Closures:
- Ramsgate Road: Closes on Thursday, May 30.
- Dorchester Road: Closes on Friday, May 31.
- Kioka Avenue: Remains open except for a one-day of closure on Monday, June 3.
- Sunset Drive: Closes on Tuesday, June 4, and will only reopen temporarily if Kioka Avenue must close.
Detour signs will be placed at intersections on Edgevale Road to guide traffic during these closures. The contractor will use the closed side roads for parking construction equipment and vehicles. Traffic on Fishinger Road will reopen open in both directions during this phase of the project.
Solid waste and recycling services will continue as usual. Driveways will be maintained to allow residents access to their homes, ensuring minimal inconvenience.
For any questions or concerns regarding the construction, residents can contact James Routte at 614-315-4730 or the Engineering Division at 614-583-5360.
