Northam Park Tennis Complex Improvements
With the start of the New Year, work is getting underway on the renovation of the Northam Park Service Building and Tennis Complex. Upper Arlington based Marker Construction will serve as the general contractor for this project. Crews are scheduled to start site preparation the week of January 15, 2024, with demolition of the existing park service building happening shortly after. Throughout the first phase of work, crews will focus on construction of the new park service building with work beginning on the new pickleball courts this summer followed by the renovation of the nine clay tennis courts in late summer.
Upon completion, the new park will feature a new building that will provide year round restrooms, tennis check-in, tennis kitchen and storage. It will also provide the City’s first dedicated public pickleball courts and completely renovate nine clay courts with underground irrigation.
Work is scheduled to be complete later this year and the tennis complex is expected to open on its normal schedule in spring of 2025. For the 2024 season, the clay tennis courts will be open until July 31, 2024. The City of Upper Arlington will be offering a 25% discount on memberships for this year.
