Street Resurfacing Project Planned for Redding Road
The City of Upper Arlington has earmarked funds in its 2025 budget for a comprehensive street resurfacing project along Redding Road, spanning from Fishinger Road to Zollinger Road. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the city’s infrastructure, ensuring safe and efficient transportation for residents and visitors.
The proposed project includes the addition of a new pavement surface and the replacement of curbs where necessary. The improvements aim to not only enhance the street’s appearance but also improve safety and promote multiple transportation options.
Public engagement has been a key piece of the project’s development, with an initial virtual meeting held in July 2022 to gather input from the community. Design work has been underway since then, with the city working towards finalizing the plans by the end of the 2024 calendar year. Six design alternatives were presented to the community during a second public engagement meeting in March 2024. The timeline for the project includes a presentation of the final plan to the public, which is expected to happen in the spring of 2025, prior to the start of construction. While the preliminary cost estimate for the project is currently estimated at approximately $1.3 million, this figure is subject to change based on the final design alternative chosen.
As the project moves toward the next phase, residents are encouraged to provide feedback to the City of Upper Arlington Engineering Division at 614-583-5360, Monday-Friday between 7 am-4 pm. Comments regarding this project may also be emailed to [email protected].
