UAPD Warns of Phone Scammers Posing As Law Enforcement
Multiple Calls Have Been Received by Residents Across Central Ohio
The Upper Arlington Police Division has received numerous reports recently of phone scammers attempting to impersonate law enforcement officers. Scammers are contacting residents by phone and informing them there is a warrant out for their arrest. The individuals then demand payment of a fine over the phone to resolve the supposed warrant. UAPD reminds all residents the Police Division does not conduct business in this manner. If you receive a call like this, do not provide any personal information or payment. Hang up immediately and report the call to law enforcement.
