Final Steel Beam Raised at Bob Crane Community Center
First-Ever Community Center Scheduled to Open in Spring 2025
Amidst a symphony of cheers and applause, the final steel beam was lifted into place on February 12, 2024, at the construction site of the Bob Crane Community Center. The historic moment was celebrated by members of Upper Arlington City Council and the Upper Arlington Community Foundation, along with the Upper Arlington Parks and Recreation Department, MSA Sport, Perkins+Will, Elford Construction, Continental Building Company, and The Pizzuti Companies. This milestone not only signifies the culmination of years of planning and hard work but also begins the next crucial phase of the project.
In April 2023, construction teams’ broke ground on the 155,000 square foot facility, located at 3200 Tremont Road, that will offer a full array of recreation, fitness, wellness, and social gathering spaces and enrichment programs for the Upper Arlington community.
