The New Year will soon be here, and it’s time to start planning ahead for community happenings in 2025. To help with this process, the City has several timely reminders to share.

2025 Community Calendar

As a service to the community, the City hosts an online Community Calendar on the City’s website. If your community or civic group is planning to host a special event in 2025 that would be of interest to the community, we invite you to complete our online EVENT CALENDAR SUBMISSION FORM to be included on the Community Calendar. We recommend that you submit items at least three months in advance, since we often include details of these community events in the City’s print and e-newsletters as space allows.

2025 Observances & Holidays Calendar

Each year, the City’s Community Relations Committee provides an observances calendar on its website, detailing notable national and religious holidays and observances, as a useful reference tool for the community when planning special events or public meetings. Special Event Application Process

The City has an application and permitting process in place for special events that require the use of City property and/or City logistical and planning support. This includes quarterly submission deadlines in advance of a planned event so that Staff have ample time to review all requests and manage its finite supply of equipment and staffing while balancing its support of longstanding community events with new and unique event proposals.

There is a $100 application fee.

The 2025 Event Planning Schedule is as follows:

• For events held April 1-June 30 – Deadline: January 17, 2025
• For events held July 10-September 30 – Deadline: April 18
• For events held October 1-December 31 – Deadline: July 18
• For events held January 1, 2025-March 31 – Deadline: October 17
