The City of Upper Arlington Fire Division has contracted with AP Triton, LLC to develop a strategic plan that will guide operations and service delivery enhancements over the next three-to-five years.

This step follows a study of the division conducted in 2022-2023, which recommended the creation of a long-term strategic plan that addresses shifting fire and emergency medical service needs and changing risk factors, as well as the community’s continued growth – especially in the City’s commercial districts – through steps that include staffing and equipment adjustments, and realignment with the division’s regional partners.

As part of this process, AP Triton will be fielding an online Fire Division Community Survey throughout most of August. Residents and businesses in the community are invited and encouraged to participate in this survey, which should only take approximately 10 minutes to complete.

Various stakeholders affiliated with the Fire Division will also be invited to participate in the survey and stakeholder discussions that will be conducted mid-September. This will include the division’s peer fire agencies in Central Ohio, local and regional law enforcement representatives, The City’s Medical Advisory Board, area hospitals, urgent care facilities, surgery centers, medical offices and professionals, Upper Arlington Schools, local retirement communities, area churches, and other entities that serve the community and have a stake in health and wellness services.

The final strategic plan and recommendations will be completed and shared late fall, and the final report will be available on the Fire Division’s webpage.
