Construction is well under way for the Bob Crane Community Center, with a target opening date in the Spring or early Summer of 2025.

From the initial exploration of the feasibility for an Upper Arlington community center through to the detailed design process undertaken over the past year, community input has been critical to the success of this project. And true to the spirit of keeping residents involved, as the City’s Parks & Recreation Department transitions to the final planning stages for this exciting new facility, additional opportunities for community input are on the horizon.

In 2024, the department will host a series of focus groups to learn how residents plan to make use of the Community Center, to help guide programming and operations.

Most of these focus groups will be held virtually, with some in-person opportunities, based on the topics and targeted participant groups.

The sessions marked “Youth” are intended for adults’ participation relative to thoughts and ideas on programs for youth. The “Teens” session is intended for current middle and high school students.
