Upper Arlington Police Division Promotes New Sergeant and Lieutenant
The Upper Arlington Police Division is proud to announce the promotion of two officers, recognizing their outstanding service and commitment to the Upper Arlington community. Lieutenant Jason Amweg and Sergeant Christopher Bibler have been promoted to new roles within the Division, showcasing their exceptional skills and leadership qualities.
Lieutenant Jason Amweg brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having started his law enforcement career with the Ohio State Highway Patrol in 2011. Since joining the Upper Arlington Police Division in 2014, he has served in various capacities, including Officer, Detective, Patrol Sergeant, and Detective Sergeant.
Sergeant Christopher Bibler has also demonstrated his commitment to law enforcement through a decade-long career, with over seven years at the Upper Arlington Police Division and three years with the Ohio State Highway Patrol. His experience includes three years as a detective and service with the Franklin County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
The promotions of Lieutenant Amweg and Sergeant Bibler highlight the Upper Arlington Police Division’s dedication to recognizing and promoting talented individuals within its ranks. Their experience, skills, and commitment to service make them valuable additions to the Division’s leadership team.
A ceremony was held on Friday, May 24, 2024, at the Municipal Services Center with family and friends of both officers in attendance along with City Administration and Police Division staff.
